The Hogs Custom Fitted Cap

The Hogs was the nickname for the offensive line of the Washington Redskins of the National Football League during the 1980s and early 1990s. Renowned for their ability to control the line of scrimmage, the Hogs helped the Redskins win three Super Bowl championships (XVII, XXII and XXVI) under head coach Joe Gibbs.

"The Hogs" was a term coined by offensive line coach Joe Bugel during training camp in 1982, when he told his linemen, "Okay, you hogs, let's get running down there."

Center Jeff Bostic, left guard Russ Grimm, right guard Mark May, right tackle Joe Jacoby, left tackle George Starke, along with tight ends Don Warren and Rick Walker comprised the original Hogs. While Starke retired in 1984 shortly after the team won their third NFL Championship in Super Bowl XVII, Bostic, Grimm, Jacoby, and Warren stayed together until the early 1990s.

The line averaged 273 pounds in 1982 not including Jacoby, who joined the team later weighing in at around 300 pounds.

In 1996, the Wolves added another star player in the draft, swapping Ray Allen to the Milwaukee Bucks for the rights to Stephon Marbury, the 4th overall pick. The addition of Marbury had a positive effect on the entire team, as Kevin Garnett and Tom Gugliotta became the first Wolves to be selected to the All-Star team. Gugliotta and Garnett led the Timberwolves in scoring as the team made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history with a record of 40–42. However, in the playoffs the Timberwolves made a quick exit as they were swept by the Houston Rockets in 3 straight games. The T-Wolves also decided to change their image by changing their team logo and colors, adding black to the team colors and replacing the original logo with a logo featuring a snarling wolf looming over a field of trees. It was also during the season that Minnesota began to play on a parquet floor.

First brewed in 1885 by the National Brewing Company. For a time, National's president Jerold Hoffberger also owned the Baltimore Orioles; Natty Boh was served at Memorial Stadium and became the "official" beer of Baltimore in the late 1960s.

From the 1950s through the demise of the National Brewing Company in 1978, the brewery was involved in many athletic sponsorships with included "The National Brewers" hockey team.

The club reached the pinnacle in 1974-75, the second of 5 consecutive Chesapeake Hockey League playoff championships. During this season, the National Brewers finished with a perfect regular season record of 20 wins, 0 losses and 0 ties. Two more regular season and three more playoff championships followed. During a three year period, from 1974-75 thru 1976-77, the team had a league record of 55-4-1 and achieved an overall record, including non league and playoff games, of 75-9-2.

The 1981–82 Dunbar Poets finished the season at 29–0 and finished 1982-83 31–0 and were ranked first in the nation by USA Today.

The team featured other NBA players Muggsy Bogues, Reggie Lewis, and David Wingate.
